The Hellasgrid Project: Building a National Grid Infrastructure

Hellasgrid's goals:
Promote Grid technologies in Greece, with particular emphasis on
  • the public sector
  • e-Government
  • benefits to the citizens
Hellasgrid's infrastructure:
  • 6 Clusters (Athens 3, Salonika 1, Patras 1, Crete 1):
          - 850 CPUs (not cores...)
          - 90 Tbytes Storage  

HG-01-GRNET: 32 Dual CPUs, 10 TB SAN Storage, 10 TB Tape Storage.
HG-02-IASA:64 Dual CPUs Servers, 4 TB SAN Storage
HG-03-AUTH: 64 Dual CPUs Servers, 4 TB SAN Storage
HG-04-CTI-CEID: 64 Dual CPUs Servers, 4 TB SAN Storage
HG-05-FORTH: 64 Dual CPUs Servers, 4 TB SAN Storage.
HG-06-EKT:128 Dual CPUs Servers, 12 TB SAN Storage.

Soon to be expanded with  240 new Cores and 160 TB of Storage shared with GSS.
