Multi Dimensional Data Distribution Service

We developed a grid aware component leveraging on our Resource Broker Service implementing a wrap over the world-wide spread OpenDAP scientific data access protocol, ensuring effective and efficient grid based content distribution. The Multi Dimensional Data Distribution Service (MDDDS) extends previously developed Grads Data Distribution Service (GDDS) and the Five Dimension Data Distribution Service (FDDDS). This service provides a wider environmental data format capabilities, the support to ensemble data  and better performance thanks to a different legacy OpenDAP (Open source Project for a Network Data Access Protocol) engine. We integrated the Globus Toolkit 4 with ours MDDDS and the Resource Broker (RBS) services focusing on how is implemented the mapping component among the GT4 index service exposed resources and the Condor ClassAd representation providing to some application examples related to weather forecast model evaluation. Our RBS can answer to queries as this one looking for the best 5D
environmental dataset fitting the specifying requirements.
